3rd - 2nd - Short

New In-Motion animated QuickTime version now available for WebBall Team Players. Please sign in or join.

Who's best at second, third, and short? Sometimes you may discover a hidden talent on the team even after you've chosen your regulars. It's also a good way for a back-up to prove he deserves a starting slot, and for the coach to assess arm strength and fielding ability from different angles and distances.

RED lines are direction of ball throws or simulated hits.

BLACK lines are direction of player movement.

Set-Up

Start with several players at each infield position. You might have up to 4 at each but we show only two on the graphic so it's easier to follow.

Each fielder gets to tryout at each position then move to the next. Two players are at 1B and they rotate in and out (we suggest after each series of hits to all 3 infield positions.)

Each player will need at least 5 fielding plays at each of the 3 slots
